• Do I have to use my insurance company's recommended repairer?

  No. It is your legal right to choose where your vehicle is repaired. Your insurer may recommend one of their approved repairers, but the final decision is yours. At AutoBody Refinishing, we work with most major insurers and can help guide you through the claims process.

• Will using your body shop affect my insurance claim?

  No. Choosing your own repairer does not invalidate your insurance claim. We can liaise directly with your insurer where required to make the process as smooth as possible.

• Do you provide free estimates?

  Yes. We offer free, no-obligation estimates for accident damage, scratches, dents, bumper repairs and cosmetic damage. Simply bring your vehicle to us or contact us to arrange an estimate.

• Can you repair minor scratches and dents?

  Absolutely. From small scuffs and parking dents to larger accident damage, our experienced technicians can restore your vehicle to a high standard.

• How long will my repair take?

  Repair times vary depending on the extent of the damage, parts availability and insurer authorisation. Once your vehicle has been assessed, we'll provide an estimated completion date and keep you updated throughout the repair.

• Do you use genuine manufacturer repair methods?

  Yes. Wherever applicable, we follow manufacturer-approved repair methods and use industry-approved equipment and materials to ensure repairs are carried out safely and correctly.

• Will the paint match my vehicle?

  Yes. We use professional colour-matching technology and premium paint systems to achieve an excellent colour match, even on metallic, pearl and specialist finishes.

• Why do you sometimes need to blend paint into adjacent panels?

  Even when using the correct manufacturer paint code, factors such as age, sunlight and weathering can cause your vehicle's existing paint to vary slightly in colour.

  Blending allows us to gradually fade the new paint into the adjacent panel(s), creating a seamless, factory-quality finish with no visible colour difference. It is a standard industry repair technique used to achieve the best possible result.

• Do you guarantee your repairs?

  Yes. We take great pride in the quality of our workmanship. All repairs are carried out to a high standard, and we're committed to ensuring every customer is completely satisfied.

• Can you repair leased or finance vehicles?

  Yes. We regularly repair leased, PCP and finance vehicles. Our repairs help ensure your vehicle meets return standards and minimise the risk of end-of-lease charges.

• Do I need an appointment for an estimate?

  Appointments are recommended to reduce waiting times, but we are often able to provide estimates on a walk-in basis during business hours.

• Can you repair alloy wheels, bumpers and plastic trims?

  Yes. We repair a wide range of cosmetic damage including alloy wheels, bumpers, plastic trims, mirrors and body panels.

• What if additional damage is found during the repair?

  Occasionally hidden damage is discovered once repairs begin. If this happens, we'll contact you immediately, explain the situation and, where necessary, obtain approval from you or your insurer before carrying out any additional work.

• Do you offer courtesy cars?

  Courtesy car availability depends on the type of repair and insurance arrangements. Please ask when booking your vehicle, and we'll discuss the options available.

• How do I book my vehicle in?

  Simply contact our team by phone, email or through our website. We'll arrange an inspection, provide an estimate and book your vehicle in at a convenient time.

• How should I care for my vehicle after it has been painted?

  Your vehicle is ready to drive as soon as you collect it, but freshly painted surfaces continue to fully cure over the following weeks.

  For the first 30 days, we recommend:

  - Avoid washing your vehicle with automated car washes.
  - Hand wash only using a mild car shampoo and a soft wash mitt.
  - Do not polish, wax or apply ceramic coatings.
  - Avoid pressure washing directly onto freshly painted areas.
